What day and hour was Mozeliak put in charge of assembling and developing a team?

Sorry but your post-mortem is about a month off. They were dead when they got swept and shut out the entire time they were in Pittsburgh. I will say your date reflects the time I've officially given up on Gorman and Walker.
They suck. I'd love to be proven wrong but I have 0 faith.
This franchise is either incapable or simply unable to spot, develop, coach--or all 3--anything resembling talent.

July 6th around 7:00 PM. The Cubs go up 8-0 in the bottom of the 3rd on their way to 11-0 humiliation if the Cardinals ESPN.
Fedde started this Sunday evening game. Two days before they shellacked the Cardinals 11-3 in another classic Mikolas start.
They were walking zombies leading up to these games. But these were the killing blows to the season.
Has the corpse really stopped twitching? I don't think you can legally harvest organs and cremate the body until it officially red lines. They could still go on a 40 game winning streak.

You're right. The key moment was when Skenes plunked Contreras and there was no response by the pitching staff. Nor any runs scored by the offense. Shutout all 3 games.
The Cubs just cleaned up the scraps in the next series.
Ahhh reliving the low lights.

This was sadly predictable after the relative success of the Dodgers and Cubs series.
