Don’t know if anyone has posted about this already, but interesting tidbit on Doyle from John Denton this morning:

As for Doyle -- the Southeastern Conference’s leader in strikeouts-per-nine innings in 2025 -- he is working out at the Cardinals’ Spring Training headquarters in Jupiter, Fla., and he will soon be assigned to a Minor League club and pitch in games before the end of the 2025 season, per a team source.

Agree! And Charlottes has one of the highest runs per game and OPS’s in the International League. They do strikeout quite a bit, too.

two more great starts from him and EE-SHAWN and Mathews get the callup in Sept and EE-SHAWN takes his spot in the Memphis rotation.

and how close to the vest do the Cards want to keep him? Palm Beach where the major training facilities are? Peoria where he's facing better competition. Springfield with the 2nd best training facilities and close to St. Louis, and competition comparable to the SEC/ACC?

Chiefs' opposition pitcher.... 84 K's in 82 IP....and 74 walks. The singles hitting squad should be stymied again....maybe they'll walk him to death? They've had games like that this season.

Would love multiple XBH today...not likely. We'll see.
