If this team manages to get into the playoffs I think they will do well. They cannot beat the AAA Pirates or Rockies but they put a hurt on the Dodgers and Cubs and for some reason do well against good teams

Going to Vegas later today. I think I am going to put $20 on the Cards to win the WS. Odds are currently 5,000:1 against. $20 to win $100,000...Or I could burn the $20 bill...I think they have little chance because 2/5 of the current pitching staff is just awful and they wasted too many games using Fedde before finally succumbing to the inevitable. Even if they got into the playoffs, we saw that Liberatore's velo dropped again last night which likely means he is having arm fatigue. Oli made a good decision to get him out of there early. But as we all saw in 2006, backing into the playoffs with an awful pitching staff doesn't mean a team can't shock everyone. But, we did have Chris Carpenter that year and Chris Carpenter Sonny Gray is not...

Make the bet. You’re gonna burn the 20 anyhow with zero chance of a return.

Bet $100 … for just $80 more, you will Wi $500,000 ..half a million.
You will be kicking yourself later for not betting $80 more to win $400,000 more !

It’s like the team has ADHD - they can’t seem to stay focused over a 162 game schedule. And at this point it isn’t Nado either. Just young guys and older 20s somethings who need more leadership than Oli can provide - ever.

The worse thing that could happen to this group is to become the third wildcard, which is a joke in and of itself. Lose the first round, and for everyone to think how close they are. This roster is not close to be a good playoff quality team, which should be the goal every year. When is the last time they competed in the playoffs, and every year they get worse.

I would still take that worst case outcome if it meant the Cubs watched from home

Correct.
