Stupid fan trade idea- mine

Jordan Walker and Palante for Chase Dollander. Both Dollander and Walker need a change in venue and I think both have value despite their terrible starts to their careers. Is that stupid? I remember getting Kile after an awful time in Denver and it was great.

Jordan Walker just turned 23. He does not yet need a change of scenery. Plus, there is most likely a new Manager and some new coaches next season for the Cardinals which qualifies as at least a quasi change of scenery anyway.

Pallante in trade package for either Pages (LA Dodgers) or Kwan (Guardians) would show ownership is serious about building a quality MLB team.

It would also require to analytically inclined organizations to ignore the peripherals of Andre Pallante

there is zero reason to trade walker, he is 23 and on an upswing recently and if he puts it together his upside is unlimited so no thanks

Very well stated.

The idea itself is not stupid, but your reason is why it’s not necessary.

Holy COW!!! Dollander has a total of 15 starts in the MLB and you think he already needs a change of venue??? Someone needs to tell Kershaw he's about 17 years past due for a change of venue.

Well to be fair every pitcher that puts on a Rockies uniform needs a change of venue.

AOF you are absolutely correct. Seriously doubt you could "sneak attack" the Dodgers or Guardians. Although not detailed, the trade package I alluded to COULD include:

Dodgers get Pallante and Prieto or Torres. Dodgers could/would counter wanting Church rather than Preito or Torres. Dodgers always purchase pitching and Muncy is at 10 yrs and could be looking for his replacement.

Guardians get Pallante and Pages for Kwan. Guardians need offense.

Cards desperately need OF who can produce offense.

Thanks for your review and comments.

Before I agree that your idea is, like you said, stupid, please explain why you think JW needs a change of scenery?

The Kile reference adds an extra dash of wut.

I like what I’m seeing out of Dollander, but remind me again why the Rockies would want to move him? He’s a home grown pitcher with strike out stuff. Exactly what the Rockies try to produce.

JW up to over .240. Tons of potential. Seems coachable. Good attitude. Hard worker. Number one draft pick. Let the kid play. I like him.
