I missed the first 3 innings of the game tonight - anyone hear the nature of Donovan's injury?

Groin muscle discomfort. Precautionary removal from lineup.

I wonder how many WNBA references there have been on CardsTalk over the years?

I like Donovan, he's a gamer. But like Edman he's the seventh or eighth best player on a contender. A forward thinking team would have traded him at the deadline when he was in high demand.

I would rate him much higher than that. Is he a superstar, no. Is he a vital piece to a championship team yes.

He’s kinda fallen off from his 4 WAR year in 2022. He’s kinda slow. If he keep his OBP above .360 and hit 30+ doubles, he’s maybe fifth of sixth best player in a contender. His defensive versatility really helps him. His trade value has diminished. It’s not what it was last off season. Does Mo never think guys will decline?

Donovan’s the kind of player who makes everyone around him better.

Or
A good team around him makes him better.
