I wonder if any will be signed back on board in the off season.

I would think Matz and Helsley would if they keep pitching well.

Depending on the cost, with a strike/lockout looming in 2027.

You can NEVER go back. That's what Mo does. Hopefully Chaim will keep moving the roster construction forward.

I dont know about matz. I still think he may want to start and some team might want to give him a shot still or at least a chance to compete in spring. I absolutely would not be interested in letting him start.

I don't think the issues will result in any lost games.

I don’t really want Helsley back.

I like him, but he’s gonna want a chunky deal and not sure that makes sense for STL.

I’d rather take a chance on a Devin Williams on a modest one year deal.

He would be a moron if he did. There’s a lot of Andrew miller money floating around if he wanted to embrace that new role.

He isnt cemented as andre miller yet though and sven 5th starters though can get close to that type of money though that elite relievers get. Lynn and gibson got more than 10 mil a year from us to be 4th and 5th starters. Being even a mediocre starter can earn you as much as being upper tier reliever.

Granted starting could instead reck his career with injuries to the point hes a reclamation project so maybe he will embrace the new role whoch os safe but i wouldnt be surprised if he still saw himself as a starter. Egos dont disappear that easily.

Bloom would be a Mormon to bring matz or helsley back they will want multi year contracts and a lot of money that could be better spent elsewhere like a good starter and the bullpen has been just fine without them and helsley was easily replaced. I say maybe maton because he could probably be had for a 1 year contract

Re-signing Matz would be idiotic and Mozeliak will be gone.

Therefore Matz will not be re-signed.

That clown stole about $ 38 million of his $ 44 million contract.

I thought you were talking about the Mets and Red Sox. Of course, not the Cardinals.
