Maybe the entire starting pitching staff other than McGreevy.

Tie the beginning of another shady obsession.

High hopes for Matthews, but it’s AAA. Most prospects have had dominating games at AAA.

From what I’ve seen, Mathews has control of multiple pitches, and seldom throws the same pitch back-to-back, other than maybe the change up. With his fast ball velocity down a bit, he isn’t throwing it as much, but instead is using it to set up his other pitches.
If he keeps this up for a few more starts, I’d like to see him brought up.

I am a little concerned about his velocity on the fastball.

Mostly 92-93 mpg with occasional 94 or 91.
Folks who haven't watched him this year a lot saw one of Mathews' best games. He's struggled a lot with control.

With the stuff he exhibited last night. It would be interesting to see how it would have played vs an MLB team.

His time will come if he maintains health.
Sept. call up possible. Probably ST is more likely.
