The Cardinals desperately need a lefty out of the bullpen right now. Is Zack Thompson ever going to pitch again. The door is wide open for him.

Good question. I thought he was going to be really good. And hopefully he will be.

isn't he on the 60-day IL ?

but you're right about another lefty.
JoJo is our only one right now with Matz traded and King on the IL

Thanks for the update. I hadn't really heard anything. Hopefully he can get some games in before season's end.

That wasn't very promising. Sounds like next spring to me.

But he still gets full mlb pay because he is on the roster all season long despite probably not making it if he were healthy out of spring training.

Never should have been drafted. He’s had injury issues, going all the way back to college.

Newly signed Anthony V could provide a second LHRP out of the bullpen.

Maybe, however, it shouldn't take that long to ramp up to pitch an inning or two at a time.

I didn’t say that Anthony V was any good. Only that he’s left handed and can apparently fog a mirror.

Same with Hjerpe iirc. Why do we seem to collect broken toys?
