That's the one thing people don't get about hiring Molina or Pujols...you REALLY want to fire a legend? Not just a Cardinal legend, but a baseball legend? I wouldn't. From a sensible standpoint he’s always been a leader and a winner and has been around some great managers both as a coach and player. Always remember him being tough as nails too.

Not suggesting it isn't a consideration but they did fire Boyer and to a lesser degree Torre was legend lite.
