One can only hope this dud deadline doesn't reflect what Bloom thinks of this roster

I'm hoping Bloom gets to evaluate each and every player, coach and Oli, and gets to decide who stays and who goes. And I hope this dud deadline is just Mozeliak's not wanting to rock Bloom's boat.

And I certainly hope Bloom believes that at least these 5 players must go: Noot, Arenado, Mikolas, Pages, King.

The guy has been in the organization for 2 full seasons. Surely he knows what the major league roster has and needs. If not, he's dumber than his predecessor.

Roster altering deals are not usually made at the deadline. Whitey made most of his deals at the Winter Meetings and so did Jocketty. By roster altering, I mean wholesale changes, not one deal like Rolen, Finley, Walker, Holliday and the 2011 makeover.

Mo was merely driving the bus: the trade targets and return had to be on Bloom. There’s no way Bloom was so desperate for a GM job he would just sit back and derail the plans he’s been working on for over a year
