The Cardinals scored 0 runs in 8 of their last 29 games. So why would fans pay good $$ to come to games where nearly 1/3 of the last 30 saw NOT ONE Cardinal runner cross homeplate scoring a run . That is NOT entertainment.

Perhaps they are wise enough to not buy a poor product?

Because they are entertained more spending their money elsewhere

Baseball fans are different than football fans. In football, there's 17 games. Going to fill the stadium for the experience every week. Win or lose.

Baseball, entirely different. The season is saturated. Multiple games on tv every night of the week. If your team is bad, you stay home and either watch a game on tv, or find something else you'd rather spend your time and money on.

A losing season, a weak roster. The Cardinals playing the Marlins. Would you expect a large crowd?
