There was a report mo wasnt that interested in any of final offers other than maton and that the offers for donnie and noot werent good enough as well as arenado not likely getting moved.

We are running out of time even for maton though and i havent heard much about him. Will watch closely. Hes having a better year than helsley so maybe he can fetch better.

i'm sure he has one more coming down the pipe. he is passing time on the toilet at busch tho

Maybe they want to keep him around to extend him? The only reason why they wouldn't have traded him to someone for someone.

He has been surprisingly good and was surprisingly cheap. Pretty good reason to keep him around.

Not shocked at all that no position players were traded. This team's offense is perfect!

If he somehow doesn't get traded does he take the awkward red eye flight to San Diego? Lol

Unsure if we will ever find out the inside scoop but would love to know if Arenado in his private discussion with Mo expanded his list of teams that he would waive his NTC for a trade.

Did MO have any new teams to deal Areando to or not ? Even if he did, it does not mean that any additional team(s) had serious interest .

Made sense to keep him back. If he is traded , then he doesn't have to fly to some destination (especially East Coast team ) across the country for a Friday game.

If he doesn't get traded, a non-stop flight from St. Louis to San Diego is 4 hours ... plus remember he gains 2 hours flying to Pacific Coast time
So even a flight that departs St. Louis at 10 a.m would arrive in SD at 12 noon PT .. The game isn't til 8:40 pm Plenty of time to leave Friday morning or even noon time for Maton. No need for the 'awkward red eye flight ' .

Maton costs less salary and is having a far better year than helsley. Helsley had a 1.39 whip. I doubt he brongs sig more but he is better than helsley this year.
