I will give Preller credit though, there is no half-a** about him. He goes for it, not saying he is a genius but got to respect him for having the balls to go all in

When you have good players that are on long term contracts they need to go for it now because as those players on long term contracts age and become less productive they will lose their window. That’s why Mo screwed up by not going all in it when Goldy and arenado were good it certainly wouldn’t have handicapped them where they are today and they might have actually won something

And yes - Preller knows how to make deals, even if they fail.
