Not every pending FA will be traded this week

There are a lot of pending FA around the league. Buyers are going to be sorting thru the available ones starting with the best. Unfortunately we don't have the best - therefore the buyers may not even take a look at some of what Mo offers, even if he is shopping everyone.
Just prepare for fewer moves than expected, and not because Mo didn't try. Its just a market reality that there isn't a market for a lot of our roster. And there isn't time or bandwidth to do every incremental deal down to the minutia of improvement regardless of asking price.

Mo does very little at the trade deadlines anyway so it would be standard operating procedure

The pending FA are not all moveable anyway.
In the worst case they represent a clean slate. For this
fan of the team, I see a lot of upsides in just getting a clean
slate.
Selling is like a grab bag event. "Hey what did we get,
what did we get? they should have got more"
Now if they move a player that's not a pending FA. That
would become interesting and could enlighten us for 2026.
I just don't think the focus is there and would love to be wrong.

A good GM needs to be able to build in place and not require a completely clean slate. Move people in, move others out over time. Operate successfully in the tension of ambiguity - because that's the real world.

Well the best (Kyle Tucker?) isn’t going to be moved anyways, so that’s fine. I think it was Olney that said that Helsley is one of the most popular names being talked about this week.

I'd argue Helsley (longer, better track record) is the best closer option now that Clase has taken up gambling.

Of course, not debatable subject, IMO.
Besides the slate will not be completely clean.
But we can acknowledge having Mikolas gone and $18 million is a definite plus.

For sure. Though whether we move him this week (we won’t) or he departs after the season, most of this slate cleans itself by season end on its own.
So Bloom can focus on which controllable players to keep or move, and start building. Though it would be nice if some growth moves happened this week to get a jump on the off-season.
If Mo gets hung up again on moving Nado that’s just a Distraction that Might prevent more helpful transactions.

I think that we were always in agreement with the topic.
I just didn't say "agree" or type well enough.

Reads just like the most recent woman I dated. I called her "The Mom-splainer" - never missing an opportunity to temper expectations.

Mikolas ain't getting moved. I'll tell you that for free.
And I wouldn't be shocked if others weren't either. It would be very on brand for Mo to blow it again. One last time.
