Mariners get: RHP Ryan Helsley and RHP Phil Maton
Cardinals get: RHP Ryan Sloan (Mariners' No. 5 prospect, No. 59 overall), OF Yorger Bautista (Mariners' No. 11 prospect) and RHP Hunter Cranton (Mariners' No. 17 prospect)

no one is paying a top 5 prospect for less than a really good number 3 starter. These are two rental relievers .

DONE!

I'd love to get an M's pitching prospect that highly rated (Sloan), they've been gold finding starter talent lately.

team gets 2 top level bullpen arms one among the best closers in the game...the return seems light

Mariners won’t trade Sloan unless Donovan is involved. He’s their next young ace like starter.

If that's the case then Donovan should be involved. This team is garbage...years away from being serious contenders. Keep building prospects and seeing who breaks out.

You might have to substitute JoJo or another controllable player for Maton to get Mariners to bite.

we have a lot of Yorger Bautista's in PMB.... lots of XBH and lots of K's, very low batting avg. That batting average and K% will get worse once he's stateside. You pray he figures it out in 3 or so seasons stateside....it's what we're doing with Encarnacion, Pino, Suarez, Pena...praying they figure it out, b/c the rare time they make contact it's really loud contact.

Sign me up, I'm all for Sloan. And the other guy is a decent 24yo reliever....should move quickly if he can maintain his current performance

I'd modify that offer to:

Helsley + Donny

Sloan is the prize, exactly the kind of prospect C. Bloom would be looking for.
