Correa mentioned as consideration by them . Of course GM Dana Brown was ticked that in talks he had with Arenado last winter when Mo was discussing potential trade with them that he (Brown) could not convince Arenado that the team was still going to contend this season.
In fact, Brown was quoted as saying ' He (Arenado ) misunderstood our plan this year. '
It could be that Astros are laying low a bit in their interest to keep the price down for a trade tomorrow. It is nothing new for a team to go from mild to not much interest 2 days prior to the deadline to going hot and heavy on the final day . GM's never want to appear to be too eager for any player. The more eager you act, the more the other team wants in return . It's a game both teams know well.
With Astros now leading their division , Arenado would most likely have a different view of the Astros now than last December. He used his leverage back then to nix being traded. He may change that stance tomorrow . Would guess both him and MO know today whether he would accept a deal . They both talked in the past week. It's a secret . If he is dealt , Mo would probably come out and tell us when Nado informed him he would be willing to be traded .

Now this article released at 8 a.m this morning has Nightengale flipping stating that Astros are considering Arenado once again ....

While Arenado may not be their first choice , it sure would make sense he could be their backup plan. Their 3rd baseman Paredes being out for the remainder of the season changed their plans big time. They need someone solid to play 3rd base or possibly be screwed for playoffs.
