Winn hitting 5th 8O 8O

He hit .274 with a .751 OPS hitting 2nd. Why not have him there and have Herrera-Contreras-Burleson in the 3-4-5?

It will be interesting to see how Herrera does in LF.

Thanks crav. Great pic of Jordan. Different looking lineup for sure.

+1. That would seem a better constructed lineup, but the Cards and proper construction doesn't seem to jive.

The I55 train keeps rolling. These are all auditions for next year. Hoping the youngsters come thru.

Who do you believe is the better hitter MW or IH?

With this particular lineup there might be some OBP with POZO and Scott at the
end, there some rationale when the lineup flips.
Can't do it with Pages and his .240 OBP.

Is Winn the proper protection for WC?
Does it really matter with this team…..Look at those names, you could fill out the card alphabetical and it wouldn’t matter. We’re in some serious chitsville of Cards baseball history.

My belief is if Winn isn't hitting 2nd he should be in the 8 hole with scott at 9 leading into the top of the order.

Cabrera a decent pitcher. Cardinals have some guys who could give him problems (Donovan, Herrera, Contreras, Burleson, Winn). Cardinals go with Pallante🤦🏻‍♂️

Winn should hit 8th or 9th

I was actually surprised that Edward Cabrera has only started one game against us in his career. July 18, 2023 he went 5 IP allowed 2 hits, and struck out 6. Cards won 5-2 in 10 innings. Donovan homered off of Cabrera and Nado hit a 3-run walkoff HR.

I've liked Cabrera and wanted the Cards to get him since I saw him in Spring Training 3 years ago. Yet, he hasn't performed nearly as well as his stuff would allow. I still would risk a trade for him, but apparently, many teams want him. The Marlins have a lot of pitching talent and would be a good trade partner.
