I wouldn’t be surprised. I’ve had my reservations about the AAA coaching staff for a couple years now.

wouldn't it be interesting the next time a player needs to get his swing de-done, they send him to AA instead of AAA?

imo 10 games doesn't tell you much at all... I'll reserve judgment until the improve performance sticks for the rest of the season.

Even with his better offensive numbers, his bWAR has slipped from -0.9 to -1.0 during this period of "improvement."
Not significant, but enough to remain stagnate.
I do have hope for him regardless, as he's only 23 and his high exit velo does hint at untapped power potential.

I get it, his overall season sucks, but the topic was about his improvement, which is admittedly SSS.

At this point, nothing to lose to see if he can start sustaining some success. Trading him is a dump w/no return and would be hard to watch him start excelling somewhere else after suffering his growing pains.

I still think he was called up too soon and messed with too much by an incompetent hitting coach.

It’s above .600!! Baby steps!

Over the last 95 MLB PA, Walker is hitting .292/.337/.427. Keep it up and finish even stronger and that will be a big positive.
