There is absolutely 0 reason for them to take the mound in STL again.

No idea. He’s a FA anyways and it would be foolish to extend him. We’d be in the same boat regardlesscardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 18:54 pm After Helsley is traded, who does everyone think will be the opening day closer next season?
The club will not be a contender…so just try guys until you they find a warm body that is reasonably competentcardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 18:54 pm After Helsley is traded, who does everyone think will be the opening day closer next season?
I'm 100% behind trading Helsley and other bullpen pieces. It just got me thinking on who currently in this organization would fill that spot.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 19:01 pmNo idea. Could be an audition in spring training maybe bring in a veteran reliever late in spring like they did with maton. My pick if I had to chose now is lehay he can pitch a lot more than helsley and he can go two if needed unlike helsley. A closer always emerges Mujica Ryan Franklin closers aren’t hard to come up withcardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 18:54 pm After Helsley is traded, who does everyone think will be the opening day closer next season?
