Don’t know why the Cardinals wouldn’t wear some form of the blue hats all the time. They look great!

This weekend the hats are modeled after the hats worn in 1942 as all/most teams are wearing throw back hats to commemorate Hall of Fame weekend.

I like both red and blue hats. As you probably know, they always wear blue hats on the road when playing in Cincinnati, Washington, Anaheim, etc., when the home team wears red hats.

Personally, I wish they would wear what I call the Stan Musial hat: navy blue hat with red bill, red StL with no white outline, perhaps on Saturdays or Sundays at home.

I would go with that. If it’s good enough for Stan Musial itshould be good enough for today. I Just like the blue on contrast to the red! The blue hats on the road were awesome back in the LaRussa days. Ironically they haven’t won much since they stopped wearing them.

I really like this cap tonight with the red bill and Cardinal on blue.

I hate the caps worn tonight. That skinny little bird looks lame. I much prefer the STL hat. That's iconic.

Ditching the blue caps on the road was the first sign that the DeWitts (namely Bill III) doesn’t give a rip about the fans’ opinion.

Yep. It definitely harkens back to Larussa and Duncan days. Here's my idea. For Saturday road games instead of the powder blue I'd rather see a solid red, not like the city connect, just the ST red jersey. With the blue hat. To me that would give like a TLR/Mark McGwire batting practice look, and very early 00's style.

I also really did like the hat they wore tonight.

I don’t mind the dark blue. But I like the red.

If you like dark blue, the Torre years as a manager, I believe, had jackets

Personally not a fan of any blue hat.

Love the red. The more red, the better.

They took a poll on the website before they made the switch, and results were overwhelmingly in favor of keeping the blue hats. So they went to red. A few months later Bill III went on the radio and was asked about it (the poll). His response was, “Yeah, the fans voted for blue but we like red and we own the team.”

Why bother asking the question? Why say you’re going to wear the blue against red teams and then only do it about half the time? It’s a little thing, sure. But it’s another example of the glib, smug attitude these people have toward their customers.

Pretty sure that's a replica 1942 cap. The only year they were ever used. I like it too and own one.

I’d like to see them reduce the Cardinals script on the shirts back to the way it was in the 60’s. Looked a lot sharper to me. Oh, and a white button on top of the red caps.
