......the Cards trade Donavan, Herrera or Burleson. These guys are cost controlled and are a solid foundation for the future. All 3 have exceptional bat to ball skills and Donavan and Burleson have proven reliable in the field.

Be prepared to vomit. Hurl. I’d bet one of the three is traded “if” any trades are made at all.

if I was a betting man, I'd bet all 3 start on this roster next year
the only caveat is IF someone were to throw the kitchen sink for Donny.. which I don't see happening

I personally don't see any of the 3 getting traded. But maybe Mo wants to go out with a bang and go for a package deal including one of these. Or maybe the team is literally the exact same after the trade deadline

Hererra 100 % not going anywhere (and the offer would have to be a major league player of high quality to land Donny, NO prospects).
Other than that, any player on the roster is fair game.

Nothing should be off the table when listening to offers. With that said, if they do trade Donovan or Herrera they have to get a haul for them. I want Mo having no part in those trades. Let it wait until he is out of the picture.

while I agree that no player is off limits, there's a few that are just as close as it gets. it would take a trade so bad that the opposing GM would get fired. these include Donny, Winn, JJ and Herrera

Is Hurdy Gurdy cost controlled? He has arb coming and turns 29 in January
I'm listening and asking for a haul.
No one on the roster should be untouchable
I hope you get sick

I’m ok with Burley and Herrera being traded. I would projectile vomit if they trade Donovan.

I'd be happy if they were able to trade Burley for a decent return. He is what he is. No one is going to give you anything very good for him. Maybe a lottery ticket prospect. I would keep Donnie and IH unless, as was said above, the return is so good it puts the other GM in serious hot water.

I did not include Winn or JJ because I'm sure there is no way that will happen. I also would keep Walker and Scott because their value is too low at this time. There is still time for those 2.

Herrera is the least likely to be traded, and Burleson the most.
But I don't think you need to break out the vomit bucket just yet... most likely Mo doesn't have the spine to trade any of them (even though it would at least be wise with Donny/Burly).

Donny is a very good player, Burleson is a pretty good hitter, and Herrera is a promising unknown at this point. None of them are untouchable for the right talent coming back. Donovan should require the most, but if the Dodgers or Yankees overpay (even for his high value) then we have too many holes to fill on this team not to make the trade.

As long as he is not behind the plate and can be moved to RF (as I have been correctly saying for 3 years), Herrera is worth keeping.
Donovan and Burleson are the best position players on the team not named Contreras or Winn - neither should be traded (instead, both should be extended).
Mootbaar is obviously the best trade piece - and yes, I have been correctly saying that for 3 years as well.
Could be worth considering a trade of Walker under the right circumstances - but perhaps too soon to be eager to pull the trigger.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.

Players obviously get traded for various reasons.
Salary relief, pending free agency, logjam at a position, etc
I sincerely doubt the Cards are “looking” to trade Donovan/Gerrera/Burleson.
However if a can’t refuse offer comes they probably jump.
Most likely to go:
Pending FA’s
Arenado
LH bat
As for what they do I always laugh at criticism for NOT making moves when we have almost ZERO ideas what those potential moves were?

Sincere question:
Please explain??
“As I have been correctly saying for 3 years”
And
“Easy Obvious Correct”
Versus
“Never about ME always about the game”
For the record...I don’t expect a sincere answer!
