Bidding for Helsley's services will increase as Helsley slams the door shut on Padress back to back nights.
I know some point to his overall stats in 2025 being subpar to 2024 season (and they are ) but teams seeking a closer currently
are more concerned how Helsley looks RIGHT NOW and he is looking very sharp .
What's the saying 'what have you done for me lately ?'
Teams scouting him in person will say he looks like the 2024 Helsley this series firing 102 MPH pitches mixed with his 88 mph off speed ones.
With Thurs. and Fri. appearances , Oli will now rest Helsley for a few days . Oli won't need to pitch him til next week (if at all ) as a deal could be consummated.
Mo and Bloom must be quite pleased .
Phones will be ringing more !

Don’t mess this opportunity to trade Helsley up Mo!

from MLBTR: (no mention of Helsley)
Kirschner adds that the Yankees — like virtually every contender — are also pursuing bullpen help. He lists Pittsburgh’s David Bednar and the Minnesota trio of Jhoan Durán, Griffin Jax and Danny Coulombe among the presumably dozens of bullpen options whom the Yanks are considering.

+1
I was thinking the same thing tonight.
Did you notice that neither Oli nor any of the coaches smiled in the dugout after the win. Too much to read into, but ... They know Matz, Maton and Helsley are gone. The 3 who shut the door on the Padres for the win.
PS. Jo Jo had another good night. He could go too.

Many teams will want him on the roster as he is bearing down on a FA deal.
He is highly motivated to cash in - as he should be.

Yes, he will be highly motivated and Alex, his wife, is 'eye' ing a lucrative deal for her husband. Dr. Alex Helsley is an Optomitrist in O'Fallon, Mo.

Get some good players for him, preferably a CF that can hit and then sign him back next year, I think he really wants to be in St.Louis

Agree w/OP
Now you sit him a game or two
Hopefully Mo is already evaluating multiple offers w/C. Bloom.
If not, then he's not doing his job.
