It's finally dawning on the Cardinals that he should be getting defensive work at the position he will likely play for them soon.

you know the guy they were planning on using at SS to get JJ time at 2B was Saggese, then Gorman was injured. Prieto is playing SS on the fly this week. Last night was his first time in a while.

J.J. had been playing some 2B in Springfield too. This isn't anything new.
