I would trade anyone except for Winn. I think he's the best SS we've had in many years and should keep him long term, even if his bat never develops much more, he's still a 4-5 WAR player.

We have no major studs to trade. We need to rebuild. We did good with Gorman and Walker. Had they developed as planned, we are having a different conversation.
Winn and Scott. Young cost controlled. Will either be household names, or fine supporting cast. Both will mature and stabilize at their positions.
Imagine - a blossomed Walker Gorman Scott and Winn. Now add Libby and McG, you have a fine cornerstone of youth.

I have not read anywhere nor heard that JJ Wetherholt would be available. Why would the team trade away their No. 1 overall prospect when they are in rebuild ?

If AZ ships out Suarez, keep a very close eye on them and the Cardinals.
Maybe this month.
Maybe this off-season.
Pfadt is the AZ name to watch.
Couple of names on the STL side.
You read it here first.

No player on the current ML roster should be off limits.

For me, your DBack speculation trading with Cardinals was not read first here. DBacks/Cardinals has been connected ..Go to Google search to find the two teams mentioned.

Rotoworld.com had a blurb saying the Yankees are trying to get Donovan.

At least five clubs have shown interest in Helsley, per Woo and colleague Will Sammon. The Dodgers are known to have interest in the 31-year-old flamethrower, and the Phillies were connected to him earlier this season. Back in the offseason, the Blue Jays were among the teams with interest, and it stands to reason now that they’re clear deadline buyers, they could revisit their pursuit of the impending free agent. -mlbtr
Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported in the past couple days that the Cards are listening on not only Helsley but also relievers Phil Maton and Steven Matz. Goold wrote this morning that the Cardinals aren’t necessarily turning away interest in lefty reliever John King or infielder Nolan Gorman — among other unnamed, more controllable pieces. (Presumably, southpaw JoJo Romero, who’s controlled through just the 2026 season, is obtainable as well.) --mlbtr
That's the first time I've seen a credible source (Goold) report that they're listening on Gorman.

Details were right here - and first.
Wait for the Suarez deal.
Then watch Pfadt.
And keep an eye on various STL 3B options.

I keep Winn, Lib and Herrera, Walker is showing good signs. I think Lib will be better prepped to start more innings next year.
But I would have to be overwhelmed with an offer to take them

Yeah Rock that was a little surprising, but when thinking about it, they may be concerned about his back. He is still young and seems to keep having back problems. Currently he's had a weak back since a weak back.

And w/JJW on the rise 2nd base is going to be taken, NADO still here takes away 3rd and the way Burleson/Hererra are hitting they could be in the 2026 OF or one may take DH.
That doesn't leave many options for Gorman even though he looked pretty good his last 15 games (4 HR/.463 slg%) before getting hurt.
I doubt he goes unless the offer is too good to turn down, no way they're looking to just give up on him and give him away.
