Suárez and Arenado

Supposedly there are 6 primary teams interested in Suárez. They are the Yankees, Cubs, Tigers, Brewers, Reds, and Mariners. This is a problem as Arenado could be plan B, which means for the Cardinals to trade him it will have to be to one of the AL teams (assuming no way they would trade him within the division).
I expect the Cubs to land Suárez. If the Cardinals trade Arenado it will be to the Yankees.

Cards would have to pay down more than half of his remaining contract and not expect anything back

We might be willing to take back another team’s bad contract in return for Nado + $$$.

First, the Cards won't do that. Second, a team that is desparate for a 3B because they think it might get them over the top might be willing to take on the entire contract. After this year, with the Rockies still tossing in $5M next year, the total is under $40M. No, they won't get anything back, but, they should be able to clear the money.

If Walker keeps hitting at his current pace, his average and OPS will exceed Arenado's in less than a week.
And we all know Walker has been BAAAAD at times. That tells you everything you need to know about Nado. lol
