Definitely for the best. I feel for Fedde. Yeah, he stunk, but Mozeliak didn't do him any favors by forcing him in the rotation.

We DFA’d 3 players that we got from trades last year. Yet you also look at Edman (.204 avg/.575 OPS over his last 183 PAs) and Carlson (.618 OPS last year with TB and .650 OPS with Baltimore this year) and realize why.

I still wouldn't mind having Edman on this team, would be a nice CF platoon with Scott hitting LHP. I know he cooled but the team would still be better.

This move had to be made. A bullpen start or two, or stretching out Leahy has to give a better chance to win than running Fedde out there time after time.

You'd assume a five-year, $74 million contract extension for a guy who is redundant with JJW and Donny?
