There was an earlier thread on next 3,000 hit players... got me thinking about which active players are most likely to end up as 1st ballot Hall of Famers. Who do you have?
Trout
Betts
Freeman
Machado
Judge
Ramirez - will be 2nd switch hitter in the 300 HR / 300 SB club
Lindor - could be 3rd switch hitter in the 300 HR / 300 SB club
Harper
Soto
Ohtani
Any you don't like? Any I'm missing?

Is this who you think will end up first ballot or who has already done enough if they quit today they would be?
Soto certainly hasn't done enough...yet. 1000 hits and 225 Hrs and 0 MVPs doesn't get you in. You can trend him, but sometimes things happen.

Agree they will be in but he did say position players. Is Ohtani a PP though? Is DH a position?

That’s perfectly fair list then. I personally think Arenado as well. He’s not done either.

Acuna, Vlad, Altuve and Tatis certainly have the talent to get there.
How about Sal Perez with 300 plus homers?

Great question .. Is DH a position ? Most people think of ' positions ' as 1s base, 2nd , etc . So if I was a career DH and someone asked me,
oh what position did you play ? Should my response be .. Oh I played 'Designated ' ?
