The DBacks aren’t THAT talented. Oli just doesn’t have our roster ready to play. That’s his freaking job.

Does he not have them ready to play, or is it just a garbage roster?

So…
You think a new guy can change all these krapp players into quality big leaguers?

Maybe not. But what have you or anyone seen in Oli to make yourself believe that the result would be any worse?

Outside of Donovan, every player in their lineup is better

I’ve seen every single one of this weekends starters play a whole lot better than they are. It’s not a lack of talent. Maybe not enough talent to beat the Cubs or Dodgers but we have plenty enough pieces to beat the DBacks. AZ aren’t that good. Oli just doesn’t have them playing to their ability.

The latter. Mo has made a mess of this roster. Oli ain't a miracle worker, but it's got to count for something that he--for now--has a team above .500 when 40% of the rotation is Mikolas and Fedde.

Its a combination. Maybe 70% roster, 20% motivation, 10% not enough PT for some.

What’s the point…..? Fire a guy because some in the fan base just can’t accept the players suck.?
Well….if it makes you feel better…….but it won’t matter…
Maybe bloom will bring a veteran guy from OUTSIDE the organization…...but already you hear people talk about guys who are already on staff…..yeah….that’s a great idea..

Agreed. The thought of yet another person losing their job and taking the fall for John Mozeliak’s failures makes me sick.

Two options….
You can convince yourself it is managing……that will make you feel better I’m sure
You can accept the fact it’s a garbage roster…….which is the first step to recovery..
…….no red glasses allowed..

If we were losing by 1-2 runs I could accept that it’s entirely talent. But when you are down 4-6 runs in the first couple innings to a below .500 team - no one is that bad at their best. That’s the very definition of not having the team ready to play.

Oli going is just step one. And the easiest step to take!
The clown is an arrogant stiff who brings nothing positive to the table.
You could dress one of us from CT in a Fredbird Costume and pretty much provide the same thing.
Like others have said....the culture needs to change.

He won't be fired this season. And will probably finish his contract. What established manager is signing on for a rebuild? Outside of Skip Schumaker, there is no option until the roster improves.

Oli isn't going anywhere. I wish he would but he's Mo's puppet. Do what your told, make out the lineup this way and continue to start pitchers that are through this season! While I am speaking about the lineup: why the sudden move for Wynn? Definitely not an RBI guy in the six hole. Put Herrera in the two spot? I know some will say your best hitter should bat second but I'm not buying it. And, Donovan is no leadoff hitter and never will be. I would have loved to see JJ brought up when Gorman going to injured list. Play him every day. If he fails you can send him back to Memphis. Maybe you will catch lightning in a bottle and this team sure needs someone. Maybe Bloom makes the change but the only real way the Cardinals are going to improve is with a new owner that isn't just concerned with lining his pockets.
