They did win the World Series last season with about a rotation and a half of pitchers on the IL and are still well over .500 with a ton of pitching injuries this season any other team without their money would have finished well below .500 and not even made the post season much less won the World Series. Oh and they’ve been to the World Series 4 of the last 8 seasons and won 2 of them that’s not the old post season is a crapshoot fiction that’s money talks
the point is despite spending multiples of what the brewers spend they have essentially the same record...the dodgers have spent stupid money on all sorts of injured pitchers because they can and yes they did win the world series last season and might again this season but they are the aberration regarding spending money...look at the yankees and so many others over the past seasons...personally I would much rather root for the brewers than a team that spends 400 million dollars and is supposed to win each seasonOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 22:57 pmThey did win the World Series last season with about a rotation and a half of pitchers on the IL and are still well over .500 with a ton of pitching injuries this season any other team without their money would have finished well below .500 and not even made the post season much less won the World Series. Yea but if the brewers lose in the first round like they usually do and the dodgers again go to the World Series even though they have a ton of injuries the point kind of will continue to stand money talks. Four World Series trips in 8 years with two championships some will fool themselves into thinking that’s just getting lucky in a crapshoot but it isn’t it’s moneyjbrach wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 23:24 pmthe point is despite spending multiples of what the brewers spend they have essentially the same record...the dodgers have spent stupid money on all sorts of injured pitchers because they can and yes they did win the world series last season and might again this season but they are the aberration regarding spending money...look at the yankees and so many others over the past seasons...personally I would much rather root for the brewers than a team that spends 400 million dollars and is supposed to win each seasonOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 22:57 pmThey did win the World Series last season with about a rotation and a half of pitchers on the IL and are still well over .500 with a ton of pitching injuries this season any other team without their money would have finished well below .500 and not even made the post season much less won the World Series. LOL...They haven't won any championships yet have they? Getting to play a bunch of games against St Louis, Cincy, and Pittsburgh may have given them a bump. Still, they did just beat LA pretty good. They can pitch and if you can pitch you can win. If they had jettisoned Fedde and Mikolas, stuck Pillante in the pen where he belongs then things might look a lot different.
and the Reds.
