Team continues this tailspin up to trade deadline.
Team sells off guys plus fires Oli .
Usually bench coaches finish the year for fired managers .
Jon Jay could get consideration too. I always liked his work.

With Moe “transitioning” I don’t think so. They let it ride and Nuke and Repave 2026.

He needs to go before 2026.
I know the team needs more talent but Oli CLEARLY is not the answer as Manager.

Maybe, if only Oli had not given up 9 runs as the pitcher, Oh Wait, never mind.

What’s the point?

And if a bench coach finishes the season, he becomes a candidate for 26

The last thing this club needs is another organizational clone..

The Cardinals have played over their head all season, if anything Oli should get extended.

It will be Blooms biggest offseason decision imo. The thing is I don’t think the fanbase will be that ridiculously hard to please. Most will just be happy to see Mo gone and they all will just be anxiously awaiting a new manager and get the Mo smell out of here as much as he can. If Bloom goes into next season with a new manager(an established vet or and up and coming stud coaching somewhere in the majors and not some no named dork) then fans will come back and be a lot more supportive regardless on if they make any roster moves or not. Just something to say yeah we’re tired of the mediocrity.

Bloom goes into next year with the dwarf as his manager and he might as well wear bow ties and talk like an arrogant sissy p***k because he will immediately get treated as such

I guess Oli thought the All-Star break was the end of the season and he'd done a great job for 2025.

I was thinking of the very point you brought up but then I thought what if Bloom (in conversations with Mo) has said, ‘I do not plan to go with Oli next year so since we are sellling off, let’s make the move now.

Is Oli a great manager? No, but hes overachieved the last two seasons. This team doesn't have any real high end talent on it.

Oh hell no! He should never have been hired in the first place.

Maybe, maybe not. Its a low bar but hes probably the best manager we've had since TLR.

The unknown is ‘Does Bloom want his own man in the managerial seat ?’
Often with a new regime… Bloom/Cerfolio the new guys want a new voice in the clubhouse.
