God, don't get hurt in the ASG......oooops!

Every manager worries about his top players missing the badly-needed 98-game break and playing in the ASG, risking injury in a spits 'n grins exhibition game ...or messing up his swing in the HR Derby. All those fireballers = all those potential HBP injuries.
But what happened tonight is causing phones to light up at Chase Field in Phoenix, as the Diamondbacks' power-hitting leader, Geno Suarez, who's in his walk year --- and if moved could bring quite a haul --- just took a sizzling fastball off the hand from some nobody pitcher with, egad, the White Sox.
With the trade deadline just 2 1/2 weeks away and the D'backs assessing what to do with the soon-ending contracts of slumping ace Zac Gallen; reliable #2 Merrill Kelly; and slugging Suarez, the one bullet that got away from Shane Smith might have huge consequences this season.
I see Suarez is, amazingly, back at 3B in the field, but tomorrow they'll know more about his hand and if he can hit. In the meantime, mail your Pepto-Bismol and Maalox coupons to Chase Field, attn. Torey Lovullo and Mike Hazen.
