It's the prudent thing to do. I keep seeing the Dodgers as a potential suitor. They have some very good prospects.

I hope if Mo looks to trade Helsley he is looking for a serious return, as well. But my friend Wally Butterworth has a cousin's friend who is a Red Sox scout who hears that Mo might not be seriously looking for a good return.

Mo needs to find the 'best ' return he can whether it is 'good' or not is in the eye of the fan. Best to move him as at the end of the year the Cards get nothing (as sure won't put the tag on him )
Know Phillies get mentioned as wanting a closer . On there prospect list , I like their 9th prospect OF Griffin Burkholder
He was the 2nd round pick in 2024 .. a RIGHTY hitting OF (something we could sure use for the future ) . The guy can flat out fly .. 70 grade RUN tool
SO could play CF .. He will just turn 20 on Aug. 30th was placed in Florida Coast League
Nicknamed Captain america for he can do a variety of things well.
No, it would not be a one for one deal but I like this kid as part of deal . Seems to have promise and outfielders are something the team needs down the road.

Mo will probably pretty much give him to the dodgers for nothing in exchange for taking arenado and all of his contract or he will be dumb and keep him all season then he walks at the end of the season for nothing

What are you doing back here? I thought you abandoned this forum because it didn't meet your high standards. This forum was much better off with you because you like to stir up sshhiitt. Just like you are doing now.

Yeah, Burkholder would be good to have.

I don't recall posting that here. You must be stalking me on the Cardinal Nation, a forum from which you and your socks were banned. Any questions?

You don't trade him to a team we might face in the playoffs. Send him to Seattle or something. Maybe package him with Pages for that Raleigh guy. That would be a good return.

By the time we play the Dodgers in the playoffs, Helsley will have been long gone.

After your negative claims about Cards Talk on TCN, Your return seems disingenuous. I anticipate more bogus racist sock claims from you.

Who cares. The Cardinals aren't going to make a deep run with their starting pitching. Get a good prospect/prospects for the future for Helsey.

in 2011 we traded for 3-4 of the pitchers that got us thru Oct...after the ASB.
