The love for The Studio is a little confusing for me. I wanted to like that show so much more then I did, and I am actually a Seth Rogen fan!

Agree that she richly deserved acclaim for an extremely complex, nuanced performance on BCS. She was, in many ways, the character glue.

Better Call Saul never won an Emmy. Nominated 53 times. Unbelievable stat.

Yeah, saw that news. Hope she has a long career after Kim. Maybe someone other than the Gilligan universe will hire her for something. After almost finishing this season of the Bear I'm surprised she isn't one of the distant cousins. Everyone else who has ever acted is.

It's interesting which show didn't get any above the line nominations - House of the Dragon. It's the first time since the 2011 premiere of Game of Thrones that a season from the franchise wasn't showered with Emmy nominations. Not only did it not get a nomination for Oustanding Drama Series, it didn't get any nominations for acting, directing, or writing, either.

I saw that. Maybe it was the frustration for that terrible (IMO) last episode, and the way they teased something, some big cliffhanger all season, only to have a pretty ho hum last episode.

I mean doubt it, but crazy that this is the first time that something in the GOT universe was not nominated at all.

I have not seen everything nominated, how could anyone, But I vote for everything "The Pitt" is up for. A spectacular show.

Stellan Skarsgard and Genevieve O'Reilly should've been nominated for their roles in Andor.

Andor was robbed all the way around. The best show I have watched in the last few years, easy.

I'll now def. have to watch Andor - but White Lotus was off-the-charts excellent - in the perhaps darkest ways possible, which I can see would turn some people off. But not me.

Andor, both seasons, is for me can't miss TV. You don't even have to be a fan of the Star Wars universe to enjoy it (although it helps). The writing, acting, scenery, story, everything is A+. It is a crime that they didn't get more nominations, it just devalues the entire worth of the Emmy IMO.

Ya know, the thing about industry shows is that they do them pretty well. I can think of any number of shows about people in show business that are pretty decent. Those less known cable shows starring cast members from Friensds, for instance. The one with Matt Leblanc. The one with Lisa Kudrow “The Comeback.” Enterouge. Just off the top of my head.

I guess I like these shows because I prefer biography over everything else and so these shows whether dramas or comedies contain a lot of of real life experience of the writers.

The best comedy show ever made was the Larry Sanders show. It sharpened its wit on the foibles of Hollywood.
