Per MLB Tonight.
He lost 19 lbs. of fat so to be better
this year.
Crazy amount of weight.
Gonna have to keep him away
from the cheeseburgers and beer
as opposed to the ladies.
Hope it works out.

I kind of liked to eat, but never had the high draft pick onus on me. He will be fine.

So, a college-aged kid makes a mature decision that losing some extra weight will help him become a better pitcher, then goes to work and loses the weight...
...and this is a negative in your mind?

The fact that he worked with his strength coach to get in tip top shape tells you his dedication. Now he will get even more
professional training and that actually is a positive for more upside. He sure can fire it !
His intensity will be something to watch . Like I said earlier a new Al Hrabosky on the mound ! Fans loved him !

Do the Cardinals start him straight away in the low minors or perhaps even Double A this season?

He throws hard which of course is a plus. You can’t teach velocity.
Obviously to make it in the bigs he’ll need to develop secondary pitches and command.
Can’t just rely on throwing heat.
If he didn’t throw hard we’d probably be wondering about that.

First MLB batter he disrespects will beat the (bleep) out of him. Not crazy about this guy.

Who says Doyle won't be the one doing the beating?
The college atmosphere is different than the pros. He's gonna have coaches, older minor league vets, major league vets, not to mention his agent, in his ear letting know how to comport himself. No reason to just assume he won't listen and mature unless you're looking to make mountains from molehills.

Did you happen to see Joaquin Andujat pitch?
