he teases us with these short bursts where he looks like he might be an 800 OPS with 15 homers then he seems to fall back to high 600s OPS....he runs well and is a great glove the question is what is he going to be going forward?

He might be traded. I could see JJ replacing him.

An 8th place hitter.
To elaborate, nothing necessarily wrong with that if the rest of the lineup has potency.

No kidding. He has 2.4 fWAR right now based mostly on his glove. 14 OAA.

But a wRC+ of 97 isn't awful.
However, that OBP doesn't play in the 2 hole. The last 30 games have been a real struggle.

He’s good as is. He may never be great but he has gold glove caliber defense and hits some. He’s miscast as a leadoff man or number two hitter but he’s hitting .255 that’s not bad. I’ll take him and Scotts defense with them hitting 8th and 9th. The problem is if a player isn’t a star some on cards talk think they suck and should be traded.

Masyn winn had a .730 ops last year. The mlb average is .716. Its not lut of question he could fi ish above or at that again. Yes pafes cant be the catcher. Thats no question.

Obviously you do care about my opinion by the response.
Sorry if this causes you distress, but MLB is loaded with young, stud SS's. Never seen anything like this...
Nick Allen for the Braves is the best fielding SS right now. They even acknowledged it on the broadcast.
Not a slight to Winn
I've been wrong before and will be again.
