Emphasis on 2025?

I would like other's opinion on this. With the organization focusing on a reset, rebuild, whatever this is, what is the goal for 2025?
The team is putting the front office in a tough position. Just close enough to warrant a push, but at what cost? Will Mo, Bloom, and DeWitt go for the post season shot? Or will they play for the future?
Their ultimate decision will be focused on what they do with Helsley. Dealing him ensures a return, but decreases their chances at the playoffs this year. Do they deal him and hope a bullpen by committee is enough to capture a WC? Do they hold him, hope for a playoff spot and let him walk this winter?
To a lesser extent, Nootbaar is in a similar position. They could move him and build for the future. His absence wouldn't affect this season as much as Helsley. But it would necessitate moving others around to fill LF and the occasional CF.
I think they should be judicious sellers with both players. Shrewd deals could impact the future without destroying any chance this year. Please share your opinions.

I expect them to do nearly nothing and hope for an end of season surprise.

It has all the makings of a JA Happ/Jon Lester trade deadline.

If you are going to move either one, you need to trade them for MLB controllable talent that fills a need we have today AND next year, not AA prospects like Roby/Sagesse when we acquired them who are years away and might not amount to any MLB WAR. Trades should win games in 2025 and 2026, not just give Shady more Thread fodder.

Helsley is the key
Without him the team is Closer-less, not a good place to be and you can kiss a playoff spot bye-bye.
That's why they'll wait (unless overwhelmed w/an offer) till the last week (day?) to decide if they deal him or not.
-I think Noot's on his way out, he could be the first to go and he'll bring back a solid prospect.
-Fedde needs to go no matter what their position in the standings is ASAP, same w/Matz.
-We'd all love to add Mikolas to those two but he's got that NTC and might not waive.
-I don't see NADO going anywhere unless the Dodgers come calling.

I’ve heard some talk about Taj Bradley from the Rays. I wonder if they would deal him and Fairbanks for Walker or Crooks+. I know they are in the race though, too.
Then trade Helsley for best deal you can get.

Surely tomorrow is Fedde's last opportunity. If not, the organization is telling us that winning is not a priority. And attendance drops even more.
I agree on Arenado. Its Dodgers or bust.
I also agree on Nootbaar. I think he's a Royal, Astro, or Padre within 3 weeks.

Fairbanks is my Mizzou boy, love to see him here!
Bradley has KO stuff, something this staff needs behind S. Gray.
Maybe you add in S. Matz (to Walker and Crooks), who could start for them?

And let's hope, like Mikolas, Fedde has a good start so a team may gamble on him!
Keep an eye on M's too for Noot.

Would Seattle trade a sp for him?

Woo-Woo!
Plus we throw in Walker?
Dream on, right?
