Like the slot machine at the casino has an occasional decent payout just to keep you playing and make you think you could come out ahead, Mikolas has a nice outing to fool you into thinking he's turned the corner.

And just like that his spot in the rotation is safe for longer.

No one believes mikolas turnednthe corner andnis gonna go into his prime form from 2018 or 2022. You are arguing with yourself.

Now.stop trying so hard to btch about a good outing.

Extend him now! The sky is the limit on money and years! 10 years, $400 million!

Were they a good matchup for Pallante?

He was the best starter on the team for that 10-start stretch earlier in the season. Seems like a hollow dream now.

Maybe the wheel will spin in our direction the rest of this season. God knows our luck is due.

We laugh, but Mozeliak is ignorant enough to extend him again. The man is a bonafide putz.

I just wish he'd be consistently good or they'd replace him with McGreevy. Instead we get good enough for Mo to keep him in the rotation, but bad enough to risk their chances at a playoff spot.

Think Eduardo Perez on ESPN Sunday night game mentioned it that rumors had it that Mikolas was tipping off his pitches.
Thought it was interesting it last night's postgame when Mikolas was interviewed he was discussing how he was mixing his pitches well etc.
Then Jimmy the Cat asked if his outing may have been better as not tipping pitches possibly . Mikolas did not address that and skipped right over the topic .
I personally think the simple truth to 'some ' of his issues was that he was 'tipping' them. Certain slight movements of the glove as you are putting the grip on the ball can 'give ' away what you are throwing. Other teams video guys do pour over those tapes prior to starts vs. opposing pitchers to see if they can pick up on those slight things.

I think it was simply Miles fixing that issue so teams could no longer detect what pitch was coming next.
We will see in his next outing .
