I’d say they got the support they deserve.

I was there. No way that’s accurate.

They can’t fool the best fans in baseball- there’s only so long you can put an inferior product on the field and expect the fans to maintain their patience.

And this is the Summer, kids not in school, vacations , and yet tons of empty seats.They thought the fans would keep coming no matter what.They are wrong a lot nowadays.
