Could we please Pages down to Memphis? He got off to a good start but his hitting has been awful for a long time now. I don't care how well he frames pitches or what a great game he calls. He's still not throwing out base stealers. Surely, Crooks could do a better job at the plate than this. There is certainly room for a roster move!

I'm fine with your suggestion, but I think it will be September before we see Crooks III in STL. For now, I'd be happy with a 50/50 job share at catcher between Pages and Pozo.

Time to turn the Pages.

He also allows a lot of runners to advance on his letting pitches go past him. And as far as his magical game calling ability goes he hasn’t done a good job of it lately the rotation is getting lit up

Bernal will probably pass Crooks.

Pages is best we got currently. They don’t want WC in the position and IH was and is a defensive bust. The worst thing you can do is promote kids before they are ready. We aren’t competing for a world championship. Pages will do for now.

Pages is a backup at best. His OPS on this team is higher only than Hampson's.

And he's far from a pitcher whisperer or whatever Melville suggests he is. Good pitching is good pitching, and bad is bad. He can't make Mikolas and Fedde be good, or Pallante to be consistently good. Or King. Or Leahy.

He should be gone after this year. You can't have even a backup with a sub .600 OPS, not on the STL Cardinals. Embarrassing.

Can't hit, let's a lot of pitches go by, but occasionally throws out a base stealer. So...yay?

You gotta be fair, though. 2/5ths of the rotation is Fedde and Mikolas. I'm certain some of us fellas could put some hits on those clowns.
