Do you think never .. will maintain 1st til the end

I think Brewers will surpass them prior to trade deadline .
Misiorowski pitched 6 tonight striking out 12.
They have All Star ace Woodruff back now who made his debut on Sunday.. Peralta , if they don’t trade him, made this year ASG.
I think Cubs chasing Brewers in September.

Listed a the #1 buyer at deadline. Probably
Adding 2 caterers Owner willing to spend. Going for it with Tucker. I think they go the NLDS at worst.

I don’t think they will. The brewers don’t have the resources to do anything much at the deadline while the cubs after trading for Tucker they have to go for it and have the resources to not just make improvements but significant improvements at the deadline

Peralta
Woodruff
Misiorowski

Tough threesome to throw in the playoffs too.

I still don't know how they're doing it (even w/the #10 pitching staff) with that offense (lower team BA/SLG%/OPS and same OB% as the Cardinals plus they've only scored 14 more runs than the Cards too) but they are somehow mostly by stealing bases (#3 in MLB w/104 -vs- the Cardinals 47).

Sadly I'll have to say the scrubbies hold on and win the NLC.

If you lead baseball in steals, that looks like a bunch of doubles, and some triples. Much easier to score with risp. The steal is the deal.

Turang, Chourio, Yelich, Frelick, Perkins all have speed.
Speed kills!

It certainly adds in an effort to score runs. Which is really the objective.

Not to mention Chad Patrick came out of nowhere (5.59 ERA in AA/AAA as a 24 year old in 2023 for Oakland and Arizona…now putting up a 3.52 ERA and 95 K’s in 94 IP in the MLB for the Brewers). He’s a carbon copy of Tobias Myers last year. And Quinn Priester, who they got from Boston earlier this season, has been solid as a rookie (6-2 3.59 ERA, 1.27 WHIP).

My favorite aspect of an effective running game is making the other team make mistakes. Plus, speed don't slump!

I’d add bunting to my game plan. With a running game. Chaotic.

To this day I don't understand why Oli doesn't utilize the "Hit & Run" more often as a way to generate scoring chances.

And like you said, gets the team in the field moving that opens holes for the hitter while also forcing misplays.

Too much reliance on the metrics, they need to go back to solid baseball strategies like the H&R, Squeeze Play, ect....
