Not going to happen. Already gave him last season with no pressure to win. This year was worry free due to the reset. Next year is cake for oli due to the changeover in leadership. We are stuck with him through the stupid extension from Mo.

Yes, we are stuck. Here’s the thing, I like Oli as a person, and he might be a good coach for younger players, but, in my opinion, he’s not a good Major league manager. He wants to treat the players like a “ teammate “and be their best friend! A good manager can’t always be that. He has to gain their respect, more than their friendship. The two things can exist at the same time, but not on the field, especially during
Game time. I’m also not a fan of Oli’s in game management , and especially his choice of line ups and batting orders.
I hope the Cardinals keep him in some capacity, but not at manager. Yadi, and/or Albert would obviously have the respect of the players right away, and neither would put up with a lot of shenanigans. Their in game management is yet to be seen, but I suspect they both would be better at it than Oli.
It’s just my opinion, but I feel that if either Yadi, or Albert were the Cardinals’ manager, right now, we would ahead of the Cubs.
Here’s hoping Bloom makes the necessary changes that are needed and that the DeWitts let him.

You gonna fire the best right-handed hitter of all time? How about the best defensive catcher of all time? Did I mention that they're both fan favorites? How much MLB experience do they have coaching?

I do NOT want to see Yadi or Albert as our next manager. Bring us a manager with experience. Bring us one from outside this lousy organization. If it were 25 years ago, I’d be OK with someone from the Cardinal minor league system back when this franchise built winners. But those days are long gone.
If the organization wants to groom Yadi or Albert to be coaching or managing material, put them in the minors and let them get experience. Managing is NOT the same as playing. Especially for superstars.

Been saying the same since his first season.
He's got a Minor League Managers mentality where he thinks his job is to develop players when it's to win games.
Oh sure he wants to win every game but when see how he manages he doesn't do the right things a true MLB Manager would do to win them.
Fired at seasons end or BDWJr is looking at under 2.5M again in 2026.
This team need NEW BLOOD in the dugout to go along w/the NEW Blood they will have in the front office.

Hopefully they have their eye on the next Manager and the offseason is the best time to make the change.
Keep playing/evaluating the young guys.
Clearly some older FA’s will be gone.
I am excited about a number of prospects who should surface in ST 2026.

You realize if you fire Oli now Mo has a vote on who replaces him. He might even carry more weight than Bloom.

OLI does not pitch nor hit. The problems is the players. The Cub series should show the management that this team needs to keep their eye on player development. Bring up the young pitchers and let them have the rest of the season. Same with the hitters.

Oli will not lose this job because he is exactly what ownership wants. Low cost and without other options if he wants to be in the majors. Also, ownership and Mo know that there isn't any talent on this team. Any winning that they do over .500 is icing on the cake, keeping them in their business model of being mentioned for a wild card until approximately Aug.. After that, ... well, the ending is expected and a part of the plan. Reference all of the off-season moves for free agents to actually give this team a chance to win.
