Oli told ESPN in replying to Fedde’s struggles
(Paraphrasing)
We have off tomorrow. We (coaches) will huddle to determine what we will do moving forward.

Usually that is strong hint a move is imminent.
My guess We have seen the end of Fedde

What was your ‘read’ to Oli’s comments ?

He is all psychobabble and no substance. Whatever he says please take with a grain of salt or maybe a shot of whiskey.

Oli probably will huddle up with his coaches and decide to ask Mo what they should do........

I understand Fedde needs to be bumped, but to bump him before bumping Mikolas sure would be something.

Everybody except the ones that counted, knew Fedde should have been traded this off-season. Not moving him was worse than making a bad trade. They will get zero, zilch, nada for him now! The incompetence of this organization the last few years is deplorable and we are seeing the results.

The correct move would be to DFA both of them.

Because Fedde actually only makes $7.5M the money owed him for the balance of the season might be tempting for a gamble?
Mikolas? No way he will be worth anywhere near the $8M+ he is owed.

It seems if Oli and Dusty had their way, Fedde would be out of the rotation. I'd assume the same is true with Mikolas. But we all know it all boils down to what Mo thinks.

I really believe Oli was sending a message to Mo on Friday by leaving Mikolas in as ball after ball left Wrigley. It seemed as if he was saying "get us some real pitching".

Anyone with a brain knew Fedde should've been traded last winter. Even if it was for lower prospect(s). But Mo in his typical way did a half-[ashed] job with the rebuild. He sat around all winter and did nothing except let Goldschmidt, Kittredge, and Gibson walk. That took no effort. He orchestrated an Arenado trade to a team he didn't want to go to. Good grief, Mo is an incompetent clown.

Mikolas has been a cardinal longer so they are gonna show.more loyalty to him.

Not necessarily right but thats how it goes

I think its also partially just cuz theyve had mikolas much longer and consider him one of their guys since hes been with the team much longer. Feddes been a cardinal less than a year.

Lets give Oli some credit for at least trying to win this game by yanking Fedde after 11/3 inning. That was definitely sending a message. What I didn't understand is why he left King out there to start inning #3. Seemed like a good time to bring in Matz and see if they could get 2-3 innings out of Matz. At the end since they didn't score, it didn't matter. But, it sure seems like Oli has had enough of both Mikolas and Fedde. This is not on Oli that he has to keep pitching these guys, it is on MO.

One or both Fedde/Mikolas will go to the IL with “arm fatigue.”
