I guess if they keep telling us enough times, the sheep will believe that he really is a good defensive catcher…. And the guy can’t hit at all

He's not an everyday catcher and it shows.
That's the case with several positions on this team.

They need to evaluate who will be a potential backup between Pozo and Pages.
Hopefully Crooks and/or Bernal make the roster out of ST 2026.

At most, Pages is a backup! If Herrera isn't going to be the every day catcher, it is time to bring up one of the youngsters and play them now. Personally, I prefer Pozo as the backup because he can hit.

When Molina was playing pitchers would say all the time they feel comfortable putting extra spin on a pitch and risking burying a pitch in the dirt because they know Molina will block it no way they feel that way about pages

He is more concerned with exaggerated framing and picking than correctly blocking pitches.

That throw home just now he had his foot on the third base side of home and did not move it one bit stretching to get that ball that tipped off his glove…… He is not good behind the plate
