The Nationals have made an in-season shake-up of their organization, as ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo and manager Dave Martinez have both been fired.

You don’t actually think “3” is in doubt for any of the ownership group, do you?

They will get first chance to face a fired up young team that will come in to St. Louis with a new mgr. and attitude, and possibly take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals.

MO is half out the door anyway and my guess is Bloom has the final say on moves at the deadline.

Don’t laugh but I’d give Skip Schumaker a try.
He did well with the Marlins in 2023.
I’m not saying he’s the best choice but if he was in a car accident and they removed half his brain he’d be 10 times better than Oli!

He’s not getting fired.

He’s also not retiring. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to Colorado.

It’s professional sports, not some low paid office clerk. Mozo the Clown should be fired. He should have been fired years ago. He’s destroyed the franchise and gutted the Cards minor league system.

But it won't happen in season, we can only hope C. Bloom does it after the final out of this season or playoffs.
