No way do you let him pitch again. With him and Fedde pitching your behind before the first pitch is even thrown. Let McGreevy and Quinn Mathews take their spots they can't be any worse.

You might not let him pitch again, but the Cardinals will.

Daddy Moe says ”hands off my boy!”. He’s a real professional.

He is untradeable and they won’t DFA him so he has to sit in the pen. The only option.

He'll go on the IL and then be back in the rotation by the end of the month. By Sept, Marmol will be asking us to imagine how much worse the record would be without all the innings MM ate.

It's not rocket science. It's just another day in the Mo Ball era.

This is exactly what we said after his last start. And nothing changed. Why would anything change now?

Dude can eat [shirt] as far as I'm concerned.

What's shocking is this guy managed to throw something like a sub-2 ERA for almost 10 consecutive starts earlier this season.

No one can fathom how this guy is still getting starts in a "runway" season when there's arms at AAA ready to go but that's a fitting swan song for the end of Mozeliak.

He needs to refund every cardinal fan that was in Chicago to see this with some of his 18 million.

So tired of "eating innings" rationale. Zip good if you are behind 2-0 after 1, 4-0 after two, and 7-0 after 3.

So 11-3 is acceptable because Mikolas went 6? With that type of brain trust no wonder they went scoreless in Pitt.

Hey, 6 innings and 4 K's sounds pretty good. The 6 homers and 8 runs, meh.

It's just their way of CYA to the fans and media while they pinch their pennies. Even in the years that they were good they went cheap and got lucky. Wainwright panning out, Carpenter coming back from injury etc etc. They've always been cheap. Nothing will change until ownership changes. This is not on Mo or Oli, this is all DeWitt.

Seriously, this string of horrible starts provides Cards manager all the ammo and support and justification for sending Mikolas to the bullpen. Mikolas will have to sit his (bleep) out there from the first inning, one hopes.

If that humiliation isn't enough for him to just quit, okay, but at least he'll know the team has no respect for him or his ability as a starting pitcher anymore. Maybe he'll drop his no trade status and agree to be shipped off to, say, Colorado. At least Bidwell, I mean BDW Jr, would get in return the pro-rated minimum to offset the $17+M he's paying MM. Maybe Colorado would throw in a six-pack of Coors, or at least Coors Lite.

Seriously, no earthly reason not to shuttle Mikolas to the bullpen tomorrow. I bet those guys in the dugout would appreciate it.

I wonder what ownership would do if Oli decided he'd seen enough of MM, shunted him to the 'pen and put Matz into the rotation.
There would be some puckered Tommy Johns on Clark Street.
