Why wait? Pay him to go home or pay him to lose? Easy one.

Won’t release him.
Send him to the BP and dump him at the deadline
eating as little $$ as possible.
McGreevy to the rotation.

Doubtful Mo will release Mikolas because he knows that some people will ask why did he give a batting practice pitcher a extension in the first place.

He needs to get “injured” with a firework tonight.

Just brace yourself for Oli and Mozeliak to breakout , “it was just not his day.” They will point to Boston game back in April where he got lit up. Followed it up with some good starts. On the whole, he’s just not good enough and has not been for years. Under Mozeliak, contract earns playing time, not performance.

I believe he just tied a record - 6 home runs given up by a pitcher in 1 game. You have to give him a chance to be the first pitcher in MLB history to give up 7 home runs in a game before releasing him.

And why would another team trade for him?

LMAO
Good point!
They won’t get anything in return pure salary dump.
If you release him(which could happen!)
you pay the full shot.
Glad they’ve left him in to take a pounding.

They won't release him. They can't trade him. They can't pitch him. Isn't there somewhere you hurt, Miles?

Yup. I suspect a doctor is about to diagnose him with forearm tightness caused by an inflamed ERA.

A lot of 400 ft "soft contact" today... Just have a little more patience.

If you get your wish and he is released today, what would you like to do about the lineup that only has 1 hit through the first 8 innings? Release them too?

Disastrous start. That was a pitiful performance. Mikolas needs to be removed from the rotation. Fedde should not be far behind. (bleep) on Mo and his ridiculous roster construction, dumb[ash] talent evaluation, and terrible contract extensions. What a putz.
