Very pleased to see Contreras and Arenado back in the lineup. Cards need to regain the attack they displayed in Cleveland.
With Mikolas on the bump and the wind blowing out, I suspect they will need mucho tallies.......

El correcto senor! Need a massive Pujols type career day from one of our lovelies to counterattack the Mikolas la lob effect.

So missing the Herrera bat. He needs to be moved to left field after an offseason of training in outfield play, never to be seen behind the plate again. His bat is a difference maker. Crooks or Bernal likely to be the catcher of the future. Pages a backup and Pozo a trade chip or throw in for a trade. I like his bat, but he really isn't a long term catcher.

Darn, Jameson Taillon placed on IL by the Cubs. Jordan Wicks promoted from AAA. Chris Flexen likely to take Taillon’s spot in the rotation.

Might be a bullpen game for the cubs. Would also not be surprised if Wicks starts the game tomorrow - he is a lefty.

Sounds like bad news for the slumping Cardinals. Taillon would have been a dose of medicine for the offense.

With the way the Cards offense looked in Pittsburgh it wouldn't matter if the Northsiders started a position player or a random fan from the stands (especially a LH one).

Hopefully they snap out of the Pennsylvania malaise and the offense gets it going again. With Mikolas starting they may need double digit runs to have a chance.

On the plus side they don't have to sit around thinking about it with these early start times.
