Just collided with runner and down on ground holding his knee in pain. Announcers say they won’t show replay as pretty gruesome

Michael Taylor stealing third base collided with him and his knee bent backwards. Could not put weight on his leg. Just minutes later Kershaw gets his 3000 strikeout

I think the Dodgers have enough depth to replace Muncy internally. Doubt they even inquire about Arenado.

Roberts said he was optimistic .. MRI will be done today so we will get a medical update later .
Some of the initial tests looked good according to Dave Roberts. He is hoping it is a sprain.

Note: Even if no structural damage , a sprain could take considerable time before he plays again.

Who do you view as being their sufficient depth to cover in the event that Muncy missed considerable time?

They will wait for MRI results before making a move. If he can get back by September there is no need to go outside the organization.

They could use Kike' Hernandez if they want offense, Miguel Rojas for defense.

If they think Rushing can handle catching 3 or 4 days a week they could play Smith at 3rd.

They could call up Freeland too.
