Is Spectrum the only cable provider in the St Louis area? My monthly bill is ridiculous and am looking for other options.

going full streaming w/ Sling might be something for you to consider.GOLDFINGER123 wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 12:49 pm Is Spectrum the only cable provider in the St Louis area? My monthly bill is ridiculous and am looking for other options.
I would like to know where you get internet for $50? Spectrum is $75 I think. Thanks for any info.George Zipp wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 07:58 am When we finally bailed on Spectrum about 18 mos ago we were paying 170ish a month for cable only. I think that got us Max and a sports package. We also had Netflix, Apple, Prime and maybe Hulu.
Went to Youtube TV. Started at 70 a month and I paid 10 extra for a sports package that included my crack channel, the NFL red zone. Youtube bumped 10 bucks a month a few months ago. So I'm at 90 now for what I was paying 170 for.
I pay 20/mo for the fan duel app for Cards/Blues. We pay the cheapest ad driven cost for netflix. We get Hulu for about 2 bucks a month with ads bc of my kids school. We get apple or at least parts of apple for free due to our T Mobile. Prime comes with Prime membership. I think we also get paramount as part of something. I don't watch 80% of this. When I do watch it's youtube, fan duel or apple. Occasional nextflix. I'll dump Hulu when my last kid graduates. I can't tell you the last time I watched anything on Prime but we buy enough (bleep) on Amazon that it will always just be there. I also pay 50 a month for home internet. All of this stuff just bleeds money.
I know it's years away but I can't wait for the day when I can customize the 9 channels I care about.
ATT. And it's 63, not 50. My bad.charlesmastis wrote: ↑11 Aug 2025 13:04 pmI would like to know where you get internet for $50? Spectrum is $75 I think.
