It would have to be a desperate pretender who thinks they're a contender (sucker) with the way he's pitching. A real contender would have no use for him. Also, you need a different news source. The link you posted the other day that stated the Yankees "ripped" Paul Goldschmidt for his recent play...I read the story and no content that supported the headline, which did read as you stated. Clickbait trash.

Mathews and/or Roby need a couple more impressive starts. Which may give the Cardinals some flexibility with Mikolas, too.
